Medical Assistant

Job overview

The Medical Assistant role is onsite in Latham, NY; pay is $20–$23 per hour. CNY Fertility Center provides fertility treatments, including IVF, IUI, and egg freezing, to support patients on their journey to parenthood. The assistant supports physicians and medical staff by completing patient-care and administrative tasks, including vital signs, phlebotomy, specimen handling, and patient check-in. The role helps maintain patient flow and support care in the fertility center.

What you'll do

• Room patients and record vital signs, histories, medications, and significant changes
• perform phlebotomy
• collect, label, and transport specimens
• clean and stock exam rooms
• assist with medication instructions and pharmacy orders
• greet and check in patients
• collect co-pays and demographic and insurance information
• answer phone calls when needed
• participate in relevant training and continuing education.
