Triage Registered Nurse — Oncology

The Triage Registered Nurse — Oncology role is onsite in Sparta, NJ, with compensation of $37.67–$50.82 per hour. Regional Cancer Care Associates provides cancer care through its clinical team. The role also supports oncology care through patient education, medication and infusion administration, clinical testing, documentation, and coordination with the healthcare team.

What you'll do

• Assess patient calls and questions using telephone triage protocols
• determine urgency and direct patients to home care, physician appointments, or emergency care
• consult physicians as needed
• provide patient education
• administer chemotherapy and other therapies within competency and guidelines
• perform and document laboratory testing and specimen collection
• handle prescription refills and prior authorizations
• arrange home care or hospice needs
• document care and maintain safety and infection-control practices.
