What you'll do

• Appear in court for arraignments, pretrial hearings, motions, and trials
• draft, file, and argue legal motions
• visit clients in jails and detention facilities
• negotiate resolutions with prosecutors
• review discovery, police reports, and evidence
• advise clients on rights, options, and strategy
• prepare cases for trial
• maintain case files
• communicate with clients and families
• manage assigned caseloads
• assist senior attorneys with complex litigation
• conduct legal research and prepare memoranda
• attend required CLE programs.
