Savio House’s Bluestem Program provides holistic care for people misusing substances, their partners, and their children as a safe alternative to foster care. This awake overnight role helps maintain a safe residential setting for families and children while supporting the program’s goal of addressing substance use and family wellbeing. The counselor provides supervision, crisis intervention when needed, trauma-informed care, and connections to community resources.

What you'll do

• Supervise families and children and support their safety
• provide crisis intervention when necessary
• help build community resources to sustain families
• maintain safety and supervision of the Bluestem property
• provide trauma-informed care to family members.
