The Automation Technician role is onsite in Dayton, OH. Compensation is $33–$36 per hour, based on experience. The position supports facility material-handling equipment to help maintain uptime and meet quality, cost, and time objectives. The technician maintains and troubleshoots automated equipment and its mechanical, electrical, and software components. The role also supports preventive maintenance, equipment improvements, team training, and spare-parts readiness so facility operations can continue reliably.

What you'll do

• Maintain and troubleshoot conveyor systems and other material-handling equipment
• verify mechanical, electrical, and software components, including PLCs, motors, sensors, pick-to-light systems, and computer interfaces
• train team members in equipment and software operation and maintenance
• identify equipment failure causes and recommend solutions
• coordinate preventive maintenance and improvement projects with vendors
• manage maintenance and facilities vendor contracts
• organize spare-parts inventory
• support emergency breakdowns or system failures after normal operating hours if needed
• drive continuous improvement.
