The Internal Auditor role is full-time and onsite in Conroe, TX. Compensation is $100,007–$150,008 per year. The City of Conroe uses this role to support transparency, accountability, and efficiency across municipal operations. The auditor independently evaluates financial, operational, and compliance controls and practices. By conducting audits and reporting findings, the role helps the City assess compliance with laws and regulations and strengthen its policies and procedures.

What you'll do

• Conduct financial, operational, and compliance audits under accepted professional auditing standards
• evaluate internal controls, policies, procedures, and compliance with applicable laws and regulations
• analyze data and prepare detailed audit reports
• maintain confidentiality, independence, and objectivity
• manage multiple assignments collaboratively
• additional duties requested by the Director of Finance or assigned by City Council may be performed as time permits.
