Arborist Trainee Internship

Job overview

The Arborist Trainee Internship is an onsite, field-based role in South Londonderry, VT, beginning in Spring–Summer 2027. Compensation is $22–$23 per hour, and the schedule is 40–50 hours per week, Monday–Friday with some Saturdays. The Davey Tree Expert Company provides tree care, grounds maintenance, and environmental consulting services.

What you'll do

• Learn and assist with tree pruning, removal, cabling, bracing, and maintenance
• tree and landscape installation
• safe operation of chainsaws, chippers, and other field tools
• and plant health care, including deep-root fertilization, soil care, and integrated pest and disease management. The internship also provides exposure to residential tree-care office operations, client service, sales, management, and leadership fundamentals.
