Experienced Fuel Systems Technician

The Experienced Fuel Systems Technician role is onsite and field-based in Raleigh, NC, with extensive overnight travel after training; TAIT works on critical fuel systems and emphasizes keeping them safe, reliable, and compliant. The technician installs, tests, maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs commercial fuel systems and related electrical equipment. The work supports construction and service projects, with a stated pathway into a Construction Foreman position.

What you'll do

• Install and terminate conduit and wiring for fuel system components and emergency generator equipment
• test, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair UST/AST systems and related electrical and electromechanical equipment
• perform monitoring, secondary containment, spill bucket, and vapor recovery testing
• support construction and repair projects and service calls
• complete daily logs and progress reports
• travel and work out of town as needed.

Why this role

Initial training is approximately four weeks in Richardson, TX, with 25–50% overnight travel; after training, overnight travel is 50–75%, sometimes two to three weeks at a time during peak seasons. Weekends may be required.
