What you'll do

• Assist with overall supervision of the county jail
• monitor inmate security, health, records, and activities
• process bookings and releases
• transport and secure inmates
• coordinate staff training and evaluate performance
• review grievances, incident reports, and disciplinary requests
• maintain facility operations and supplies
• respond to emergencies
• enforce applicable laws and policies.

Why this role

Requires three years of law enforcement or corrections experience and three years of supervisory experience. High school diploma or GED; Kansas driver’s license; Taser, CPR, and first aid certifications must be achieved during the first year and maintained. Must reside within 30 miles of the worksite within 90 days.
