Mid-Level Civil/Environmental Engineer — Industrial Commercial Energy

Job overview

The Mid-Level Civil/Environmental Engineer role is hybrid in Asheville, NC, with a flexible hybrid-remote schedule available after 30 days and at least three office days per week. Compensation is not specified. The engineer joins Wade Trim’s Industrial Commercial Energy Team, which works to improve infrastructure in its Southern offices. The role develops site projects and supporting plans, reports, specifications, permits, and cost estimates while coordinating with clients, project managers, and other stakeholders. Its purpose is to help deliver infrastructure solutions that meet applicable standards and support client projects from design through construction observation and reporting.

What you'll do

• Design site development projects and prepare plans and analysis
• prepare design reports and construction plans to applicable standards
• coordinate specifications and permit submittals
• prepare preliminary cost estimates and evaluate quantities
• document design changes and communications
• conduct on-site observations as needed
• prepare project status and other reports
• assist with proposals and project managers
• attend client, public, project, and staff meetings
• attend seminars or training
• maintain client relations and a safe working environment.

Why this role

Requires a bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering and 5–10 years of similar experience. Fundamentals of Engineering and ability to test for PE are preferred; AutoDesk Civil 3D and engineering software experience are preferred.
