The Assistant Branch Manager role is an onsite, full-time position in Melrose, MA. Pay is $31–$35 per hour. Reading Cooperative Bank serves customers through its branch banking operations and community relationships. The assistant manager supports branch performance and operational integrity by supervising daily activities, coaching staff, and helping deliver customer service. The role also supports relationship banking, sales initiatives, regulatory compliance, and community engagement, and assumes responsibility for branch operations when the Branch Service Officer is unavailable.

What you'll do

• Assist with daily branch operations, security, compliance, internal controls, scheduling, and workflow
• oversee cash management activities and branch opening and closing
• support audits and regulatory examinations
• resolve operational and customer service issues
• open deposit accounts and recommend banking solutions
• coach staff on customer engagement and sales
• support hiring, training, performance reviews, and team development
• represent the bank in community activities.
