Patient Care Associate (PCA) – Front Office

Job overview

The Patient Care Associate (PCA) – Front Office role is onsite in Washington, DC, with compensation of $19–$22 per hour. Training takes place at the Rockville office, and the role may require travel to satellite locations as needed. The associate is the first point of contact for patients at Visionary Ophthalmology. The PCA supports patient care by coordinating welcoming check-in, registration, scheduling, and patient communications. The role also helps patients understand medical insurance and vision plan benefits while maintaining accurate, confidential records and a positive patient experience.

What you'll do

• Greet patients and direct them to waiting areas
• manage doctors’ schedules and schedule patients based on doctors’ orders
• provide information about services and patient account items
• address complaints and escalate unresolved issues
• review accounts, update demographics, and maintain confidentiality of patient records
• communicate information between patients, doctors, and management
• keep the reception area clean and organized
• collaborate with departments to improve customer service.
