What you'll do
- Assist the Director of Nursing with planning, directing, and supervising nursing staff
- support compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
- develop and update department policies and procedures as needed
- assist with staffing to meet resident needs and regulatory requirements
- participate in agency surveys and help address inspection deficiencies
- complete staff performance reviews and provide guidance, education, and discipline as needed
- train staff
- maintain infection-control and safety practices
- respond to call lights when working in resident care areas
- assist with admissions, readmissions, and room transfers
- communicate with residents, families, visitors, peers, and supervisors
- participate in meetings and in-services.

Why this role
Requires an associate degree in nursing or a related field, graduation from an accredited nursing program, current Registered Nurse license, CPR certification, and two years of RN experience. Five years of RN experience and nursing department management experience are preferred.
