The Registered Nurse – Ambulatory Surgery Center role is onsite in Mount Vernon, WA. Pay is $37.50–$46 per hour. Northwest Eye Surgeons’ ambulatory surgery center provides specialized surgical care to patients. The nurse delivers safe, high-quality perioperative care in accordance with physician orders, nursing standards, regulations, and facility policies. The role supports patient safety through assessment, monitoring, treatment, education, documentation, and coordination with the surgical team.

What you'll do

• Conduct preoperative and postoperative patient calls
• admit, assess, monitor, and discharge patients
• document medical histories and conditions
• administer ordered medications and treatments
• provide intraoperative circulating services
• develop care plans with physicians and other professionals
• perform diagnostic tests
• educate patients and families
• maintain surgical instruments and operating room setup
• follow aseptic technique and sterilization standards
• provide direction to medical assistants and surgical technicians. Conscious sedation and infection-control duties apply when assigned and appropriately qualified.
