The Field Geotechnical Engineer / Geologist (Nuclear) role is field-based, with flexibility to be based in Knoxville, Charlotte, Raleigh, Columbia, Atlanta, Greenville-Spartanburg, or Columbus. Its work contributes to site evaluation, permitting, licensing, construction quality assurance, and project compliance at nuclear sites and other projects.
What you'll do
- Conduct fieldwork including soil borings, drilling oversight, monitoring well installation, and in-situ testing
- classify soil and rock and oversee sample collection
- analyze subsurface conditions and data
- support laboratory testing and engineering recommendations
- prepare technical reports and figures
- perform construction and environmental inspections
- coordinate with contractors, laboratories, clients, and project teams.
