The Ready Mix Driver role is an onsite position based in Carlsbad, CA. Compensation is not specified for this role, which supports the transportation and delivery operations at CalPortland. The primary purpose of this role is to safely transport freshly mixed concrete from the batch plant to designated job sites. The driver is responsible for performing vehicle inspections, operating multi-axle mixer trucks, and maintaining equipment to ensure efficient and timely delivery according to customer requirements.

What you'll do

• Conduct daily pre-trip/post-trip vehicle inspections
• Deliver ready-mix concrete to various job sites
• Operate a multi-axle mixer truck safely, obeying all traffic laws
• Clean and wash vehicle to include the removal of concrete buildup on all exterior parts of the mixer
• Must be willing to work according to customer demands
• Operate a radio to communicate with company personnel
• Adhere to all safety regulations including company policies, state, and federal regulations
• Responsible for reporting all incidents/injuries to management as soon as they occur
• Attend safety meetings as scheduled by management.
