This role serves as a caregiver to residents, providing resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under the supervision of a registered nurse. The CNA is responsible for age-appropriate care, infection control, and assisting residents with basic health care needs and daily activities.
What you'll do
- Serve as caregiver to residents.
- Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance.
- Deliver age-appropriate care related to physical and psychological needs.
- Follow infection prevention and control policies.
- Provide assistance with bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing, obtaining vital signs, and psychosocial support.
- Assist with transferring, repositioning, and walking.
- Provide range of motion and passive exercises.
- Assist with food preparation and dining.
- Document resident interactions and outcomes.
- Communicate resident's changing condition to charge nurse.
- Collect specimens and gather vital signs.
- Provide housekeeping and laundry services.
- Assist with wellness and recreational programs.
What we're looking for
- Education
- High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred, but not required.
- Experience
- Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
