The Material Handler / Purchaser works onsite in San Marcos, TX, Monday–Friday from 7:45 AM to 5:00 PM, with possible Saturday hours from 8:00 AM to noon. Pay is $18–$20 per hour. The role supports handling and procurement of recyclable materials, including tires, cardboard, metals, plastics, and other waste. The position combines warehouse and outdoor-yard material handling with purchasing responsibilities. It helps keep recyclable materials organized, documented, and ready for shipment or processing while sourcing supplies cost-effectively and following safety and environmental requirements.

What you'll do

• Receive, unload, inspect, sort, and organize recyclable materials
• operate forklifts and pallet jacks
• prepare materials for shipment or processing
• maintain inventory records and clean storage areas
• identify suppliers, negotiate pricing and delivery terms, monitor commodity pricing, document purchases, and follow safety and environmental requirements.
