Facilities Maintenance Technician – Level 1

Job overview

The Facilities Maintenance Technician – Level 1 role is onsite across properties in Crested Butte and Almont, CO. Pay is $22.00–$26.00 per hour. The technician supports Elk Ave Hospitality’s restaurants, employee housing, and hospitality operations by maintaining buildings and equipment. This entry-level role completes basic upkeep, inspections, preventive maintenance, and supervised repairs while developing building-system skills alongside more experienced technicians. By documenting work and escalating issues beyond the technician’s training or authorization, the role helps keep properties cared for and maintenance work safe.

What you'll do

• Complete assigned basic repairs and general building upkeep within training and authorized scope
• perform approved adjustments, assembly, touch-up work, hardware replacement, filter changes, and light carpentry
• complete preventive-maintenance checklists and inspect for visible problems
• document findings and communicate issues requiring technical attention
• assist Level 2 and Level 3 technicians and contractors
• support grounds work, seasonal preparation, snow and ice response, and property turnover
• record work orders, labor, materials, photographs, and unresolved conditions
• follow safety practices and escalate hazards or work outside authorized scope.
