Restoration Estimator, Large Loss

Job overview

Compensation is $1–$50,000 per year. The Restoration Estimator, Large Loss role is based onsite in Purcellville, VA; Merit Restorations mitigates and rebuilds residential and commercial properties damaged by fire, water, storms, and other disasters. Reporting directly to the Branch Manager, the estimator scopes and estimates large insurance restoration projects, negotiates estimates through approval, and coordinates pre-construction planning. The role manages deadlines, progress, and quality across multiple projects while supporting clients and project teams.

What you'll do

• Visit assignments and job sites
• scope and document damage
• prepare estimates using Xactimate, Symbility, or the company’s default software
• submit estimates and negotiate approval with insurers or clients
• prepare construction contracts
• coordinate pre-construction meetings
• assist with change orders and supplements
• manage client communication.
