The Maintenance Mechanic, Sawmill Equipment role is onsite in Smoot, WV, with first shift from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and second shift from 2:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. Compensation is not specified. The mechanic reports to the Mill Supervisor and supports sawmill operations. The role maintains and repairs sawmill equipment and facility systems to support safe, reliable mill operations. Work includes preventive maintenance, equipment installation and repair, fabrication, minor electrical repairs, and occasional backup machine operation.

What you'll do

• Check equipment safety attachments and guards
• perform maintenance and preventive maintenance on sawmill equipment
• cut, weld, and fabricate
• repair and install equipment
• perform minor electrical repairs on industrial equipment
• maintain facility and grounds
• serve as backup for machine operators
• complete other work-related tasks assigned by mill management.
