Community Support Facilitator II

Job overview

The Community Support Facilitator II role is onsite and community-based in Salinas, CA, with travel around town and within consumers’ communities. Compensation is $23.06 per hour. Hope Services provides services to people with developmental disabilities and mental health needs. The facilitator supports consumers in community settings according to their person-centered plans, helping them participate in activities and build relationships, skills, and experience. The role also leads programming, advocates for consumers, supports safety, and coordinates with staff and community partners.

What you'll do

• Provide group or individual support in the community
• lead curriculum development and implementation and assist with job development, scheduling, and staff training
• develop activities that build community relationships and skills
• travel with or transport clients locally
• support consumer participation in chosen community activities
• advocate for consumers and implement behavioral support plans
• complete required documentation and incident reports
• act as backup to the program coordinator and mandated abuse reporter.

Why this role

Requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent plus two years of related experience, or an approved combination of education and experience. A valid California driver’s license, clear driving record, auto insurance, and CPR and First Aid certification are required. Extensive local travel is part of the role.
