Staff Accountant

The Staff Accountant role is onsite in Cleveland, OH; compensation is not specified. The accountant handles a broad range of accounting work across fixed assets, intercompany accounts, accruals, accounts payable, general ledger, reconciliations, and indirect taxes. The role also contributes to financial close, acquisition integration, system implementations, and process improvements that support reliable financial operations.

What you'll do

• Record fixed asset acquisitions and divestitures and maintain the fixed asset subledger
• prepare intercompany entries and resolve differences
• prepare and analyze accruals
• support accounts payable
• review account activity and post journal entries
• support monthly close and financial statement analysis
• prepare account reconciliations
• partner with plant and business stakeholders
• assist with freight, customs, and duty reporting
• support acquired-business general ledger integration
• participate in ERP upgrades and implementations
• assist with indirect tax filings and audits
• provide secondary treasury support
• maintain documentation and internal controls
• identify process improvements.

Why this role

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field and three to seven years of general accounting experience; CPA is a plus but not required. Standard office hours with flextime; limited domestic travel, generally less than 10%.
