The Head Start Teacher Assistant role is onsite in High Point, NC, with stated pay of $18.14 per hour. The position supports GenerationEd’s Head Start and Early Head Start program and reports to the Center Director. The assistant helps plan and deliver a high-quality classroom environment that supports children’s social, emotional, physical, and intellectual development. The role contributes through curriculum support, child interactions, family engagement, classroom management, and program documentation.

What you'll do

• Assist with classroom space, materials, routines, and developmentally appropriate activities
• support positive teacher-child interactions and transitions
• assist children with self-help activities
• communicate with families and coworkers
• assist with child assessments, lesson plans, parent conferences, and home visits
• maintain an organized learning environment
• submit reports
• attend required meetings and training
• perform bus monitoring duties when assigned.
