Home Health Aide Trainee

Job overview

The Home Health Aide Trainee role is onsite in Dover, DE, with compensation of $17–$19 per hour. Silver Lining Home Healthcare offers a free, in-person two-week HHA certification course and supports aging adults in the Kent County area. This role prepares new caregivers to begin paid home-care work through classroom instruction, hands-on skills practice, homework, and competency sign-offs. After completing the course and orientation, trainees can pick up shifts supporting clients, including people with behavioral and mental health needs.

What you'll do

• Attend classroom instruction and hands-on skills practice
• complete required homework between sessions
• demonstrate skills for competency sign-offs
• complete the course and orientation before picking up shifts. An optional Wednesday open lab provides additional practice.
