Equipment Replacement Technician — Residential HVAC

The Equipment Replacement Technician role is onsite across ENCON’s Stamford, Milford, Danbury, and Stratford, CT branch locations. Compensation is not specified. The stated schedule is Monday–Friday, 6:30 a.m.–4:00 p.m., with occasional evenings and weekends as needed. The role supports ENCON’s residential service and installation operation. The technician removes existing equipment and installs, starts up, and commissions residential HVAC systems. The work contributes to safe, code-compliant installations and customer comfort through quality workmanship and clear homeowner orientation.

What you'll do

• Remove and dispose of existing HVAC equipment using proper refrigerant recovery procedures
• install furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, air handlers, coils, and related components
• complete associated refrigerant, electrical, venting, condensate, and thermostat work as required
• follow manufacturer specifications, company standards, and applicable codes
• commission equipment
• document work
• maintain a clean worksite, vehicles, and tools
• coordinate with installation crews and supervisors.
