What you'll do

• Set up machines and change tooling or saw blades to grind or cut steel
• operate specialized saws and hand tools
• use calipers and micrometers
• read industrial knife blueprints
• complete statistical process control charts
• load and unload steel
• add coolant, empty swarf, and clean machines and work areas. Cross-training and providing support or training to others may be required.
