The Cook role is onsite in Winston-Salem, NC, and pays $12–$18 per hour. Somerset Court at University Place seeks to provide nutritious, high-quality meals to its residents. This cook prepares meals to menu plans and dietary requirements, supports timely meal service, maintains kitchen sanitation and food safety, and works with the Dietary Manager and kitchen staff to support residents’ preferences and smooth kitchen operations.

What you'll do

• Prepare meals according to menu plans, dietary requirements, and resident preferences
• serve meals on time with attention to quality, portion control, and presentation
• maintain a clean, sanitary kitchen and safely store and handle supplies
• collaborate with the Dietary Manager and kitchen staff
• assist with inventory and report shortages
• accommodate special dietary requests
• follow health and food-safety regulations
• assist with training new kitchen staff as needed.
