Job overview

The Youth Direct Support Professional works onsite in the Minneapolis area, including programming in Brooklyn Park and South Minneapolis. Compensation is $20–$25 per hour. A New Direction for Youth provides care and programming for people in foster care, including individuals with developmental disabilities. The role supports residents’ daily needs, individual plans, and participation in community life. What you'll do

  • Provide transportation to activities
  • assist with individual and behavioral plans
  • support recreational, social, and community activities
  • administer assigned medications and observe changes in health or behavior
  • assist with grooming, meals, household tasks, and daily living skills
  • maintain medication records and shift communication logs
  • protect confidentiality and residents’ rights
  • follow safety protocols and required training.
