The Infrastructure Engineer role is onsite in Chantilly, VA, with compensation of $131,644–$190,789 per year. The engineer supports NS2 Mission’s secure infrastructure for mission-critical applications and capabilities. The role builds, secures, deploys, and sustains containerized workloads and cloud infrastructure using DevSecOps practices. Through Kubernetes operations, automation, troubleshooting, and collaboration with development and operations teams, the engineer helps improve infrastructure reliability, security, and scalability.

What you'll do

• Build, secure, configure, and operate containerized workloads
• administer, configure, troubleshoot, and operate Kubernetes clusters
• deploy Kubernetes workloads using Helm
• apply DevSecOps, configuration management, configuration-as-code, and continuous delivery practices
• automate infrastructure and operational processes
• support Linux hosts, container networking, and system troubleshooting
• monitor environments and resolve performance, availability, and configuration issues
• collaborate on application deployments and operational readiness
• maintain documentation and operational standards
• support distributed data and observability platforms as required.

Why this role

Requires 5+ years of related experience, hands-on production container experience, Kubernetes and Helm experience, Linux skills, and a TS/SCI with FSP clearance. U.S. citizenship may be required to obtain or maintain a security clearance. Apache Kafka, Elastic Stack, infrastructure-as-code, and CI/CD experience are preferred.
