Food Service Specialist

The Food Service Specialist role is onsite in Burlington, VT, part-time at 24 hours per week, with pay of $19–$22 per hour. Lund’s Food Services department supports clients, staff, and guests at its Residential and Treatment Center with nutritious meals and an inclusive, welcoming environment. Working with the Food Services Coordinator and other team members, the specialist helps plan and prepare meals and snacks, accommodate dietary needs, maintain food safety and required records, and coordinate with residential staff. This work contributes to a healthy and welcoming setting for residents and the broader community.

What you'll do

• Assist with planning and preparing nutritious, creative, and economical meals and snacks, including alternatives for dietary preferences and needs
• monitor residents in the kitchen for safety
• comply with licensing and health department regulations and maintain required records
• communicate with shift supervisors and residential counseling staff about kitchen, dining room, meal times, and resident food needs.
