The Registered Nurse (RN), Emergency Department Charge Nurse, Days role is onsite in Oklahoma City, OK. Compensation is $31.31–$51.14 per hour based on previous work experience, with additional evening, night, and weekend differentials described. Norman Regional’s Emergency Departments provide stabilization and life-saving care to more than 95,000 patients each year and include a Level III trauma center. The charge nurse assesses patient needs, coordinates nursing care, evaluates outcomes, and serves as a department leader alongside or in the absence of the Nurse Manager. The role supports safe, evidence-based emergency care and promotes bedside handoff at shift changes.

What you'll do

• Assess and reassess patient health needs
• develop nursing diagnoses and expected outcomes
• provide and coordinate nursing interventions
• evaluate patient outcomes using critical thinking and evidence-based knowledge
• serve as department leader alongside or in the absence of the Nurse Manager
• maintain ACLS
• promote bedside handoff at shift changes.

Why this role

Requires a current Oklahoma Registered Nurse license. BLS and ACLS must be maintained; RNs with less than one year of experience must complete the Nurse Residency Program. Diploma or associate degree required; BSN or MSN preferred.
