What you'll do

• Select and install workholding, attachments, and cutting tools
• set up horizontal and vertical mills, CNC lathes, and mill-turn lathes. Coordinate with engineers and supervisors on requirements and possible design adjustments. Tune feeds, speeds, and tooling
• monitor cutting and adjust as needed. Read cutting plans, enter and correct control instructions, inspect finished components, and perform routine lubrication, cleaning, coolant, warm-up, cool-down, and tool-change tasks.
