The Medical Dosimetrist (CMD) role is onsite at the Seattle VA Medical Center in Seattle, WA. The schedule is typically Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m., subject to change at the direction of Ansible or its customer. Compensation is not specified. The role provides services to eligible beneficiaries of the Seattle VA Medical Center. Working under direction from a VA Radiation Oncologist and/or Medical Physicist, the dosimetrist designs and implements radiation treatment plans and documents dosimetric calculations. The work supports treatment delivery and quality assurance in radiation oncology.

What you'll do

• Perform dosimetry functions under MDCB certification
• receive direction from a VA Radiation Oncologist and/or Medical Physicist
• design SRS/SRT, HyperArc, IMRT, SBRT, 2D/3D, and IGRT treatment plans
• assist with simulations and tumor localization using CT, MRI, and PET-CT fusions
• oversee fabrication of beam-modifying and immobilization devices
• implement plans and verify device use
• perform and document dosimetric calculations
• support the Medical Physicist with QA, calibration, and radiation protection.
