The Store Assistant Manager — Fountain Valley role is onsite in Fountain Valley, CA. Pay is $22.00 per hour. The store is part of The Salvation Army’s retail team and supports its Adult Rehabilitation Program. The assistant manager partners with the Store Manager on daily operations, staff development, customer and donor service, inventory, and store security. The role helps maintain store performance and a positive shopping and donation experience while supporting program beneficiaries when work therapy assignments are in place.

What you'll do

• Partner with the Store Manager on opening and closing, point-of-sale operations, inventory, merchandising, and donations
• assume day-to-day operations in the Store Manager’s absence
• monitor performance indicators
• schedule employees and maintain payroll records
• assist with hiring, training, and coaching
• support customer and donor satisfaction
• oversee back-room processing
• protect currency, inventory, and property
• maintain safety procedures and records.
