Facility Operator — Asphalt Production

Job overview

The Facility Operator role is onsite at the Wolcott, KS facility. Compensation is $21–$25 per hour. Ergon Asphalt & Emulsions operators work as a team to produce, process, quality-check, and load or unload asphalt products for paving and repair customers. The role supports reliable facility operations by assisting with product testing and quality records, handling materials, performing minor equipment maintenance, and maintaining safe, orderly work areas. Operators coordinate with coworkers, management, trucking partners, and customers to meet production and delivery needs.

What you'll do

• Assist with laboratory product testing
• enter quality specifications and batch data into reports
• sample product quality
• load and unload trucks and railcars
• perform minor maintenance on pumps, racks, and mixers
• participate in daily production, quality, and environmental health and safety meetings
• use safety checklists and other proactive tools
• maintain facility housekeeping
• complete required training
• wear required personal protective equipment
• communicate with operators, management, trucking company, and customers.
