Project Engineer – Heat Trace

Job overview

The Project Engineer – Heat Trace role is onsite in Houston, TX, or Baton Rouge, LA. Compensation is not specified. The role reports to the Manager, Engineering and supports Thermon’s industrial process heating and heat-tracing solutions. The engineer leads technical project execution to complete heat-tracing systems to customer specifications, supporting customer satisfaction and project profitability. The role coordinates project design, team assignments, quality, schedule, staffing, and budget communication with project management.

What you'll do

• Review project specifications and documentation
• develop project design criteria
• communicate requirements and quality, schedule, and technical constraints to team members
• lead technical project setup, tool selection, role assignment, and work allocation
• ensure adherence to the Quality Plan and address deficiencies
• identify scope changes and communicate schedule, staffing, or budget deviations
• maintain project design folders
• contribute to global and regional tools and procedures as required.
