What you'll do

• Apply, remove, and assess the need for changes to orthopedic immobilization devices
• use the cast saw safely
• work interchangeably with medical assistants as needed
• maintain casting supplies and inspect equipment
• sterilize instruments
• fit patients for braces and crutches and provide product education
• assist with personal hygiene needs when warranted
• explain financial responsibility for dispensed products
• comply with HIPAA, OSHA, and organizational safety standards
• keep certifications current.

Why this role

High school diploma required. A registered or certified medical assistant credential, registered orthopedic technician certification, or athletic trainer certification is required; two to three years of clinical experience and CPR/AED and First Aid certification are preferred. Schedules may change with department needs, including overtime and weekends; travel as needed.
