The Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) role is an onsite, itinerant position serving multiple school sites in the Bel Air, MD area. Compensation is $65 per hour. Strides Therapy and Educational Services provides contract therapy and educational services to support students in schools. The teacher provides individualized direct instruction and consultative vision services to students with visual impairments and blindness. The role supports academic access, independence, and progress toward student goals through collaboration with families, school staff, and related service providers.

What you'll do

• Provide direct vision instruction and consultative services, including Braille, assistive technology, compensatory skills, functional vision, academic accessibility, and independent living support
• collaborate with educators and related service providers

• communicate with families and school personnel
• stay current with relevant practices and technology.
