Security Officer – Patient Transport

The Security Officer – Patient Transport role is onsite in Charleston, SC, with scheduled work Saturday and Sunday from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Pay is $22.00 per hour. The role supports secure transportation of mental health patients to designated inpatient care facilities throughout South Carolina. The officer safeguards patients during transport and helps maintain safe, orderly service for the client. Duties include following safety procedures, responding calmly to incidents, documenting ridership and vehicle inspections, and maintaining and sanitizing the transport vehicle; hospital patrol may also be assigned.

What you'll do

• Provide secure transportation for mental health patients to designated inpatient care facilities throughout South Carolina
• follow safety and site-specific procedures and respond to incidents
• maintain ridership and vehicle inspection reports
• refuel and sanitize the transport vehicle
• perform other security duties as directed. Hospital building and grounds patrol may be included.
