Senior AI Engineer, AI Platform

Job overview

The Senior AI Engineer, AI Platform role is based in Denver, CO, with in-office attendance required at least three days a week. The base salary range is $160,000–$200,000 per year. The engineer supports Kharon’s products for helping clients assess and operationalize risks related to global security and commerce. The role builds AI applications and platform capabilities from proof of concept through production, enabling teams to turn complex business problems into secure, scalable systems. It also develops data pipelines and internal engineering tools and helps ensure AI systems are monitored, explainable, and aligned with ethical, regulatory, and performance standards.

What you'll do

• Design, develop, and ship AI proof-of-concept applications
• build and integrate AI components including MCP clients and servers, model fine-tuning, and multi-agent frameworks
• take features from idea to production, including data-flow architecture, coding, containerization, and secure cloud deployment
• partner with product, design, engineering, and data science teams
• develop production-grade data pipelines and internal development tools
• monitor AI systems for explainability and ethical, regulatory, and performance standards
• evaluate frameworks and share best practices.
