The Commercial HVAC/R Preventative Maintenance Technician role is onsite in Fredericksburg, VA. Compensation is $20–$25 per hour. The technician performs scheduled maintenance to support reliable operation and longevity of customers’ commercial HVAC/R equipment. The work includes inspections, cleaning and component adjustments, system testing, refrigerant checks, minor repairs, customer guidance, and assistance to service technicians on more complex calls.

What you'll do

• Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance and inspect commercial HVAC/R equipment
• clean coils and replace filters
• clean, lubricate, and adjust components
• test controls and thermostats
• check refrigerant levels, detect leaks, and recover and recycle refrigerant
• verify electrical connections and troubleshoot components
• advise customers on maintenance and repairs
• perform minor repairs and assist service technicians
• complete paperwork
• communicate with customers and dispatch
• maintain vehicle tools and inventory
• drive the company vehicle safely.
