Production Specialist

The Production Specialist role is onsite in Herndon, VA, Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, 40 hours per week. Compensation is $19–$25 per hour. The role supports Aventra Defense Systems’ production organization, building hardware for autonomous aircraft systems. The specialist translates assembly documents, engineering drawings, and work instructions into physical components and sub-structures for prototype and low-rate production. Careful assembly, inspection, and escalation of build issues help deliver flight-ready hardware on schedule and to specification.

What you'll do

• Build components and sub-structures by following assembly documents, engineering drawings, and work instructions
• assemble and integrate mechanical and electromechanical components
• operate hand and power tools and precision measurement equipment
• inspect work in process and completed assemblies
• identify and escalate build anomalies, material nonconformances, and documentation errors
• maintain a clean, organized, and safe production area
• collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teammates.
