Veterinary Assistant

The Veterinary Assistant role is onsite in Livermore, CA, with compensation of $18–$25 per hour. The position supports PetCura Animal Hospital’s delivery of compassionate patient care and service to clients. The assistant helps veterinarians and technicians provide daily care by supporting exams and procedures, monitoring hospitalized animals, maintaining treatment areas, and keeping accurate records. The role contributes to safe, consistent patient care and hospital workflows.

What you'll do

• Assist veterinarians and technicians during exams, treatments, and procedures
• restrain animals
• prepare and maintain exam and treatment areas
• clean and disinfect kennels, equipment, and hospital areas
• monitor hospitalized patients and report changes
• support feeding, walking, and comfort
• follow treatment plans
• maintain records and communicate with team members and clients. Venipuncture and IV catheter placement are preferred but not required.
