Activity Aide, First Shift

The Activity Aide, First Shift role is onsite in Waterloo, IA, with a schedule of 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and every other weekend. Pay is $16 per hour. The role supports residents at Pillar of Cedar Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation, a community focused on quality service and care. The aide creates and leads engaging therapeutic activities and helps tailor programming to residents’ backgrounds, interests, and care needs, supporting their quality of life and participation in the community.

What you'll do

• Create and lead programs in coordination with the Activities Director
• assist with resident outings, including driving when needed
• lead scheduled activities and make approved adjustments
• learn residents’ backgrounds and needs to support person-centered activity plans
• conduct and complete assessments as directed by the Activities Director.
