What you'll do

• Reconcile asset, liability, and capital accounts and analyze general ledger accounts
• guide and review Accounting Assistants’ work
• provide accounting support to accountants and business units
• assist with new implementations and process projects
• investigate discrepancies
• verify, allocate, post, and reconcile accounts payable and receivable
• prepare monthly financial statements and year-end audit work papers
• file sales tax returns
• run payables checks twice monthly
• review quarterly payroll tax returns
• recommend accounting system and procedure changes
• initiate bank transfers
• provide daily cash-report backup
• liaise with other departments.
