The Irrigation Maintenance I role is onsite in Firebaugh, CA, with compensation of $20–$21 per hour. The role supports irrigation systems and agricultural operations at Wonderful Orchards, a large grower of almonds, pistachios, and pomegranates.

What you'll do

• Assist with assembling, inspecting, cleaning, and replacing irrigation pump and motor equipment
• troubleshoot and maintain pumps, valves, and fittings
• perform preventive maintenance
• support water-well development
• operate basic heavy equipment
• perform general farm maintenance and minor irrigation repairs
• keep equipment stocked and the irrigation shop clean
• follow safety protocols and use appropriate personal protective equipment. Occasional welding may be performed, with on-the-job training available if needed.
