What you'll do

• Assist the melter in preparing molds for pouring and completing pouring procedures
• follow instructions from the melter, foundry supervisor, or plant foreman
• follow safety rules and wear PPE
• read production and process sheets
• move and inspect molds for damage
• prepare sand beds
• move metals to and from the warehouse and update weights
• help ensure melters can continue melting.
