Collision Body Technician

Job overview

The Collision Body Technician is an onsite position located in Lake Charles, LA. Compensation is $23 - $32 per hour flat rate, and this role supports the collision and glass services team at Gerber Collision & Glass. This role is responsible for the meticulous assessment and quality repair of customer vehicles to restore them to pre-accident condition. The technician works in alignment with team members to achieve repair facility KPIs.

What you'll do

• Ensure consistent execution of WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan.
• Plan repair work and prepare cost estimates.
• Use tools such as cutting guns, plasma cutters, hydraulic jacks, hammers, and pliers to repair vehicle sections.
• Hammer out dents and apply filler resins.
• Realign car chassis and frames.
• Remove damaged sections and replace with new or aftermarket parts.
• Repair or replace glass, windshields, and interior parts.
• Weld and attach parts.
• Prepare and repaint vehicles.
• Inspect vehicles after repair to ensure quality.
