Commercial HVAC Service Technician

The Commercial HVAC Service Technician role is onsite in Garland, TX, serving customers throughout the Dallas–Fort Worth area. Compensation is up to $42 per hour based on experience and technician level. Kelso Industries delivers HVAC, mechanical, plumbing, refrigeration, and electrical solutions; this position is with NTD Mechanical’s HVAC Service department. The technician diagnoses, repairs, and maintains commercial HVAC systems to keep customer equipment operating safely and effectively. The role also documents service work, communicates findings and recommendations, and supports the service team; Technician III may provide technical guidance and training to other technicians.

What you'll do

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial HVAC systems
• perform preventive maintenance
• test system performance and identify mechanical, electrical, control, and airflow issues
• service packaged units, split systems, air-handling equipment, pumps, and related components
• read technical documentation
• maintain HVAC controls
• communicate findings and document work. Follow safety procedures, participate in the rotating on-call schedule, and travel to customer locations throughout the DFW area.
